As an undercover photographer, JR transforms his pictures into posters and makes open space photo galleries out of our streets since 2001.
In 2006, the success of the 28 millimeters project, which first part - Portrait of a generation - led him up to the magazines front pages. His huge pictures of the Montfermeil and Clichy-sous-Bois teenagers have been displayed on the walls of the European Center for Photography and the Hotel de Ville (City Hall), in Paris.
JR keeps on planning new and unauthorized exhibitions of large size pictures such as in Rome (Italy) or in Wuppertal (Germany) for which the choice of the locations must reveal the meaning of the pictures themselves.
Mixing Art and Act, JR is sometimes considered as a "actist" or an "artivist".

Native from Tunisia where he grew up before living in France, in the US and in Switzerland, Marco, 45, is a technology consultant specialized in two fields. In Mathematical Algorithms, the goal is to identify patterns and to solve equations with moving parameters.
In Signal Processing, the difficulty is to convert signals (sounds, images) into messages.
Involved in conflict resolution (a complex equation with contradictory signals) for a very long time, Marco has been active in a number of groups promoting coexistence through Art and Culture.
We thank the 41 heroes who accepted to pose for us, taking the risk to be exposed.
We are glad that most of the people we met by chance have accepted to commit for a better mutual understanding between Israelis and Palestinians.
